New Brunswick -- EdCamp New Jersey is proud to announce that we've partnered with New Brunswick Public Schools and your 2017 un-conference will take place at New Brunswick High School on Saturday, November 18, 2017. EdCamp New Jersey 2017 will also be followed by our second EdCampNJ Encore on January 20, 2018. Encore will also be held at New Brunswick High School.

Dr. Aubrey Johnson, Superintendent of Schools, has communicated his excitement with the organizing team and is "...proud to bring an event like EdCamp to New Brunswick."

Registration for #EdCampNJ 2017, powered by TicketLeap, will open on October 1, 2017, and run through November 10, 2017. We strongly advise potential attendees to register using a personal email address, as some school district email systems will filter correspondence from TicketLeap.

About New Brunswick Public Schools

New Brunswick Public Schools is a vibrant, diverse school district located in one of New Jersey's most historic communities – a thriving college town that's been home to Rutgers University for nearly 250 years. Located in the heart of Middlesex County, New Brunswick is renowned as a cultural, arts, and culinary center, and as a transportation hub only 60 minutes from New York City, 90 minutes from Philadelphia, and just 45 minutes from the beautiful Jersey Shore.

About New Brunswick High School

On October 23, 1812, the City of New Brunswick purchased a lot on Schureman Street, an old Rutgers College building, to be used as a school. This is the first documented account of a movement towards a free public school in New Brunswick. This school opened in 1814 with 143 pupils.

A new era in the history of New Brunswick High School began in January 2010 when the current high school building opened. The 400,000-square-foot facility, constructed at a cost of $185 million, is located on Route 27.
